India’s youngest billionaire net worth: Nikhil Kamath is a chess champion

Nikhil left school at age 14 to pursue his interest in chess. He played chess full time but never made it to a professional level.

“Chess teaches you how to work under a structure, in a system, but yet try and be creative within that system,” he said.

He told CNBC Make It: “No one was going to hire me without a college degree, which meant I had to do something which didn’t require one.”

The brothers, from Bangalore, have profited from the coronavirus they say.

“The pandemic has been good to us, which is a strange thing to say,” Nithin said.

“People had a lot more time, people were at home and, unfortunately, in many cases, they were in a position where an alternate income could have been very useful,” he said.

Nikhil might be one of India’s richest people, but what about global wealth?

Elon Musk is the world’s richest person.

Elon Musk’s net worth is more than $185million, thanks to Tesla’s increased share price.

Shares for the American electric vehicle company are now worth $790 (£582.57).

Who are the world’s wealthiest people?

Jeff Bezos is the world’s second-richest person, having made millions from Amazon. His net worth is $183B.

Bill Gates is third, with $133B, followed by Bernard Arnault’s $116B. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is worth $97B.
