James Bond Thunderball actor Earl Cameron dead at 102 – How he almost featured in Dr No | Films | Entertainment

Britain’s first black movie star Earl Cameron has died aged 102. The Burmuda born actor saw his breakthrough role in 1951’s Pool of London. He then went on to act opposite Sean Connery in 1965 movie Thunderball.

Cameron played Pinder, Bond’s contact in the Bahamas in the fourth official 007 movie.

But did you know he was considered for the much larger role of Quarrel in the first James Bond movie Dr No in 1962?

Director Terence Young and producer Cubby Broccoli knew Cameron from his Warwick Films.

However, co-producer Harry Saltzman didn’t think he was right for the role and cast John Kitzmiller instead.

The sci-fi spy thriller keeps having its release date delayed by two weeks at time by Warner Bros due to the pandemic.

Nolan fans have speculated that Tenet is a secret sequel to Inception.

After all, none of the character names have been revealed, expect for John David Washington being called The Protagonist.

Since Robert Pattinson has dyed his hair blonde, the same colour as Leo’s Dom Cobb in Inception, some fans believe he’s playing his son from Inception’s ending.

Perhaps then Clémence Poésy is playing Dom Cobb’s daughter and therefore Pattinson’s sister?

It’s also worth pointing out that Nolan has had both Inception and Tenet in development since 2000.

And with it being exactly 10 years since Inception released this month, surely it’s not just a coincidence?

Tenet is released in UK cinemas on August 12, 2020.
