Wedding rules update: What does Boris Johnson update mean for your wedding?

In England, wedding ceremonies should be kept “as short as reasonably possible” and limited to what is legally binding.

Out of these 30 guests, only two households should be present.

You are “strongly advised” not to have a wedding reception, and if you do only two households can attend an indoor reception.

If you choose to have an outdoor reception, only six guests from different households can attend.

Laying out food and drink is not advised, and everyone will need to socially distance.

Hymns aren’t allowed, with singing playing a role in transmitting the virus.

The tradition of being walked down the aisle by your father is also off-limits unless you live in the same household.
